Monica Wapaha

My art practices are an exploration of Ndee and O’odham realities on colonial structures, historically and in our current setting, intertwined anachronisms. As an indigenous woman, my existence is political. My artwork reflects this through various mediums and several techniques layered. I am interested in bringing these topics into discussion. If I can get the viewer to think, ask questions, then I have been successful.
