Quilts of Change: Threads of Justice

Quilting, often perceived as a traditional craft for warmth and comfort, has a rich and enduring history as a form of protest and a powerful tool for social and political commentary. Quilts, often highlight marginalized voices and show the blurring lines between art and activism. The quilts in this exhibit represent different protests, including arpilleras from Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica, quilters and artists from Northern Arizona and others from across the United States.
