Artist Statement: Through multiple mediums, I investigate family, youth, and hope. My image-based language incorporates rabbits, lab coats, and furniture. I rewrite rabbits’ personal histories, transforming the real-life experiences that inspire them toward more hopeful outcomes.

Sometimes, setting becomes the focus. Furniture and figures contribute equally to the narrative. Living rooms and playrooms are recurring locales, with the sofa as a central character. Once home from work, we may find ourselves captured by it—especially with a television or computer nearby.

Lab coats become uniforms for navigating universes. As a teacher and artist, I hope to nurture creative agency while awakening this superpower in my students.
